| don't mind my tumor of an arm... |
so pretty much sunburns are the worst!!!!!! every stage of it!!! i got like a 12 degree burn on my back and shoulders on monday, and ya since then this whole thing has been a joke. sleeping comfortably is impossible, being in the sun is excruciating, and even raising my arms hurts. ya, really? so like i said every stage is horrible. now i'm peeling like a lizard (DISGUSTING) and i still hurt. so i am starting to end this terrible process by yesterday and finally beginning to see the fruits of my labors!! or rather pain...? yea, so i'm tan(ish) now!! :D i am happy to announce that i am no longer WHITE, i am now a pleasant light cream :)
anyway, so yesterday i'm getting over it finally, and i go on a beautiful hike, get home. i have a fabulous farmers burn now!!! YAY!!! ............. -_-
well, c'est la vie, i'll just even it all out on the beaches of hawaii....
so i went on a hike yesterday, yes, SO fun, but SUPER hard. me and the incredible man by the name a of Kaai Kawue decided to climb Timpanogos. now i have been before twice, but NEVER like this....
| Stewart Falls, we took a little detour. its fun to stand under!!!! |
| the last green place we saw for the rest of the hike. its about an hour and a half up the trail. |
| the view from the backside. |
| climbed up that snow and this is where we stopped and ate. |
| climbed up this slope, then slid down on the way back :) sooo fun!... so cold. |
| this shows the steepness of the slope, this is about how bad most of them were. |
| trees knocked over from avalanche! |

Kent: an incredible man we met on the trail, he drinks silver to kill bad things in his body, drinks gold to increase brain function, dumps a little of his water out every time he takes a drink for the earth, brings a bag of 10 rolls for the animals and bugs on the trail, and he loves classic rock. cool guy :) he was SUPER helpful on the mountain too cause kaai and i had no idea where we were going without trails. haha he also thought we were married!! haha! :)

most beautiful thing! gosh it was so pretty when all those clouds came in! it felt like we were in just one giant room!
thats the saddle to the right of the picture and the summit on the left.
well sadly we never made it to the saddle, we were almost to it when we started to see those clouds come in, i had been worried about the storms that were supposed to come in at mid afternoon and it was already 2. so when we saw the clouds and how fast they were moviign kaai decided we should turn around and not risk it. (i was honestly very grateful because by this time i was repeatedly slipping and getting very tired. poor mr. incredible wanted to go to the top, but he was nice enough to recognize that i was dying and turn around.) |
| ate lunch then slid down that giant hill in the back of the picture, probably a hundred yards, and steep :) |
| we got a little lost right here... haha but we survived. :) |
so that trip was extremely exhausting. but sooo fun! and we had hamburgers when we got home so all was well :)
all in all a good week. plus we just added a new and very large member to our family, a 20X20 pool :D yes, we should go swimming some time :)
love you all! have a beautiful sabbath.
