You know what I just realized? If you procrastinate procrastinating you could become a very efficient person.

:(

My headphones broke yesterday when I was running. And you can't run fast without good music. So I was angry.

a week with the indians! :)

so technically it was a week and a half ago, but better late than never!
seriously this was honestly one of the best weeks of my life though! i LOVED it so much!
Sam is a master. Definitely pro at catching my most attractive expressions.

the start of the first house!! (the bigger one)

Sam Carter and Cass under the first house doing the chicken wire for the insulation

the cutest group a girls on the whole dang job site!

The Sams!!

Zena, or Xena.... not sure how she spells her name....

the first house on the last day. it was almost finished on the outside!

the hill behind the first house. how'd you like this for a back yard?!

first house

Kim and the cute little random puppy from the house next door!

Eravus and I!!!! He is soooo cute!! And the most adorable little hard worker! :) the house we built (the second one, the smaller one) is the house he will be living in.

the cutest guy on the job! ;) Mr. Iron Man Sam.

The sign says it all! :)

i was getting ready to end my run too!

it was pretty much the greatest trip. we were able to help two families who will now have a home to live in. its the greatest feeling to be able to be immersed in service for a week. i have to be honest though, i wish almost every day that i could go back. it was so amazing.
now for the super interesting pictures!!! (Which i lifted off Facebook from Sam Carter/Samuel Carter . the pictures above are accredited to Samuel Cassani/Iron Man Sam/Sampson/Chief Blue Eyes/the stud in the blue.)(THANK YOU SAMS!!!)

So lets start with the beginning of the hike. kay this was about 30 minutes in but its the beginning-ish. this is the top view of the wall we had to repell down (about 20-30 feet)

coming down the trail

aren't we cute!?!

the "cave" wall next to our destination

we all made it in and out! :) and yes that is the canyon we went into right behind us.

waiting for the sheep to be... umm... taken care of. the kid on the bottom right is Ammon, one of the Navajo kids from the rez. kinda had a mini crush on him for a bit :)

"We came from up there!!"

"we're still alive!!"

that was on the way down.

COOLEST THING EVER!!! So Sam and Alex and I had gone down under the "waterfall" after checking out the Anasazi house next to the cave wall. As we started walking back up to rejoin the rest of the group i looked to my left and noticed an odd hallow hole. i bent down to check it out and sure enough that big white pot was what made the hole! as we uncovered the pot we found piece after piece of ancient Anasazi pottery!!! :D gosh it was so cool!!!
All of that is what we found!!! :D:D:D

then we had to put everything back :( sadly we're not allowed to take any of it. which makes sense ya know... but still...

first we had to corner them.....
skinning it. you go olivia! brave girl!!
best awkward family photo :)

anyway... it was the greatest trip of my life! i am excited to go again next year :)
love to all!
